Greg Nouveau – Things That Dreams Are Made Of
Greg Nouveau is a music producer, remixer and artist based in Worthing, UK.
Greg Nouveau first got the “production bug” in 1977 when he heard the track“I Feel Love” by Donna Summer. He says “The hypnotic electronic beat captivated me and sowed the seeds for the producer I am today”.
Greg Nouveau’s diverse musical influences include ABBA, The Police, The Human League, Kraftwerk, The Jam, 2-Tone, Adam and the Ants, Duran Duran, Soft Cell, Ultravox, OMD, Depeche Mode, Tears For Fears, Trevor Horn, ABC, Stock /Aitken/Waterman and Visage, but it was the Tubeway Army hit “Are ‘Friends’ Electric ?” in 1979 which really set the ball rolling.
Greg Nouveau says “ Gary Numan’s vision of another world really captured my imagination, along with the dark electronic sound, lush synths and out-of-this-world lyrics. It was at this point that I decided I wanted to ultimately become a record producer “.
In 1985, Greg Nouveau launched a band called “Eye-2-Eye” and followed this up by writing and producing original songs including “Lovetrain“, “Third and Last” and “No Way“.
In the mid-to-late 90’s, Greg Nouveau was involved in local studio work and live sound, as well as starting a New Romantic-inspired tribute band called “Dare!” who performed many well-received gigs.
In the new Millennium Greg Nouveau started concentrating on studio production and after producing “London’s Calling” for a local Mod band called ‘The Credits’ he started doing remixes of classic tracks including “Relax” and “Two Tribes” by FGTH, “I Feel Love” by Donna Summer, Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and Rihanna’s “Diamonds“.

Greg Nouveau embarked on recording his debut album and started the process of collating the tracks. He says “I decided to write several new songs, to accompany several tracks from the 1980’s and one cover version. This cover version was always going to be “Things That Dreams Are Made Of” from the Human League album “Dare”.
