MILITANT FYAH – BABYLON FALL
For his debut, Bahamian-born, Jamaican-raised reggae artist Militant Fyah releases Babylon Fall, an unapologetic reggae track that touches on themes of fearlessness, resilience, and power in the Black community. Babylon Fall is an ode to Black militancy and the strength of character of Black people everywhere, no matter where one might find themselves in the African Diaspora. The lionhearted Militant Fyah speaks directly to the heart and soul of what it means to be blessed by a higher power, resurrecting the age-old proverb: “whom God blesses, no man can curse”. Babylon Fall is a bold testament to the strength and beauty of Black people facing societal adversity, and is a call for excellence, humility, and self-awareness amongst everyone who falls under the Black spectrum.
Militant Fyah’s penchant for Black culture and focus on African roots unarguably falls in line with grassroots reggae predecessors Damien Marley, Buju Banton, and Jah Cure. With Militant Fyah’s strong stance on Black issues both in the Caribbean and at large, it’s just a matter of time before he becomes a household name.
In 2018, Militant Fyah became a new addition to Nassau-based record label, SAVAGE 100. He has opened for the likes of Damien Marley and Nas at The Bahamas Winter Solstice Festival, and is set to release his debut album in 2019.
