In this hot new video ‘Christine Lee’ challenges herself to complete her figure skating routine – Listen to Your Dreams

Christine Lee recently shared the music video for her single Listen to Your Dreams, and the young artist combined her two passions, music and figure skating, to bring the visual to life.

Directed by Spencer D. Evans of Spirinity Productions, Listen to Your Dreams shows the journey of following you dreams and never giving up, no matter how difficult it may be. Christine is depicted challenging herself to complete her figure skating routine, and no matter how many times she falls, she pushes herself to get up and try again.

This video is special because Christine has been skating for as long as she can remember.

She says, “I started figure skating when I was 8 years old. I loved the Peanuts cartoons and one day I saw Snoopy and Charlie Brown skating on the ice at Knott’s Berry Farm. It looked like so much fun and I wanted to try skating. My dad took me to the rink for my first skating lesson and I immediately fell in love with it!”

In the video, we see Christine getting up over and over again, determined to nail the routine. In real life, Christine is an extremely accomplished figure skater. So much so, that she had to force herself to fall each and every time to build the suspense of the music video.

Figure skating was not always easy though. She faced many challenges along the way, including balancing a rigorous training schedule with her schooling, and her budding music career. She says, “I think I was able to get through all the challenges because I loved figure skating so much that I was willing to do anything to become great at it. Sometimes learning a new jump seemed impossible. I would fall a hundred times a day, and that definitely was not fun. My mom and dad always supported me. When I would have bad day of practice, or didn’t place in a competition, my mom would always be there to console me and inspire me for the next competition.”

This routine in particular was special for Christine. It was her last performance on the ice, and she was able to do it to her very own song. She says, “Last year, I developed lower back problems and the doctors said I should stop skating. This was really hard for me to accept, but my dad always told me that when one door closes, another one opens. I trained through my back injuries because this video was so important to me. I want to inspire others through my song.”
